SILVER ROUNDS 1 OZ
The 1 oz Silver Round Buffalo produced by the Golden State Mint is a bullion round made of .999 fine silver. The round features a design inspired by the Buffalo Nickel, a five-cent coin that was minted by the United States from 1913 to 1938.
The obverse of the round features the image of a Native American chief in profile, inspired by the original design by James Earle Fraser for the Buffalo Nickel. The words “LIBERTY” and “GOLDEN STATE MINT” are also inscribed on the obverse.
The reverse of the round features the image of a buffalo, or American bison, standing on a mound of dirt. The words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are also inscribed on the reverse, along with the weight and purity of the silver.
The 1 oz Silver Round Buffalo is a popular choice among silver bullion investors who appreciate the historic and artistic value of the Buffalo Nickel design. The round has a weight of one troy ounce, or approximately 31.1 grams.
